I'm still in this transition phase in my style. I have all my comfy college clothes (jeans and sweatshirts), but towards the end of college, I began to realize that life is too short to not dress well. As I started working and earning a disposable income, my closet has grown and become more versatile. I was once the girl who made fun of people's Uggs and miniskirt combo, but I now appreciate people who are willing to be bold and dress in things that might not make sense. I doubt I'll go to extremes, but now that a new year is coming around, I am going to add in some new changes.
1) I will learn to wear heels. I wish I could afford these beautiful Christian Louboutin heels, but I will settle for a knock-off. For the last 22 years, I've only worn Converse, flip-flops, flats, and my running shoes (but only for running). I've acquired some shoes with a heel but I still feel awkward wearing them, and I can't seem to walk very quickly.
2) I want to wear dresses on a more regular basis. I'm not going to wait for a special occasion anymore, because honestly, I kinda like feeling pretty in a dress. It also lets me wear my tights. :)
3) Speaking of dresses, I will try on a strapless. If I'm going to step out of my comfort zone, I might as well go big.
So these are my resolutions for next year. It's a bit too chilly right now to wear dresses, but when Spring hits, I'll be ready.
